what I thought was a simple rom-com turned into something more like a life check-in 🧭 Alex discovers a “life list” she wrote at 13 and must complete it to unlock her inheritance. Watching her tackle each item do standup comedy, teaching in a shelter, reconciling with her father it struck me how much of this is really about facing life head-on, not just ticking boxes What hit hardest was Alex’s relationship with her mother. There's warm, real love and also the pain of loss. Watching her mom set up this road map for Alex made me think of my own mom and dad, gosh their imperfect bond, the ways they held each other and me. Not cinematic or flawless, but real. It made me wonder if someday I could understand love like that too Then there’s the absence of a brother figure. Alex has her brothers, but her emotional journey often felt like she was walking alone. I got why she clung to Brad, because sometimes you just want a voice that says, “It’s okay to be lost.” And I realize I do want that too. A big brother or even a friend who’s been there, who can tell me I’m not failing. The film is quite predictable like it was about watching someone fight inertia and grief and landing in a place that felt like honest living. where Alex ends up starting to love herself, her past, her future and I cheered when she finally found clarity with Brad So yeah, The Life List didn’t hand me a direct roadmap for life. But it gave me something better that reminder that growth can be messy, love can be mundane, and sometimes the only guide we need is the quiet voice in our head saying, “You got this.”
Life is beautiful and messy and complicated and sometimes it doesn’t look the way you think it’s supposed to look. And that is okay. Keep going and always be brave

when considering “true love” : 1. Is he kind? 2. Can you tell him everything in your heart? 3. Does he help you become the best version of yourself? 4. Can you imagine him as the father of your children?
